Welcome to my introduction to programming. My name is Elementrat. Well not really
but for safety purposes it is. Plus thats my email address ( elementrat@hotmail.com) so feel free to email me with questions or comments concerning programming. Ok lets get started. First of all let me start
of by saying Anything you have ever done, seen, or heard on a computer was made by programming. Programming is
a set of instructions a person tells a computer to do. A computer is a retarded piece of junk. It can't think for itself.
The only thing it can do is follow orders. There are many different Programming languages around. Actionscript, Java, Liberty
Basic, Visual Basic, C++, HTML, Eventscript, C#, and many more. I am only going to cover the basics of HTML, Liberty Basic,
and Actionscript and Visual Basic. So if making Fun and interactive Video games sounds fun to you... Keep Reading!
Like I said Programming requires a lot if thinking and hard work. If you are someone
who gives up easily, programming is not for you. When you are making games, Your imagination is the limit. You are free to
create whatever you feel like (assuming you have the know-how to do so).
So now the first thing you will need is a programming language itself. Most are Expensive
but then again there is the unspeakable way of getting them... :p
HTML - FREE!!!!!! ( Ill explain how to use it in the HTML section)
Visual Basic - 200$ to 300$ dollars.
Ok so I recommend starting with Liberty Basic because it is the simple est and
gives you a good grasp on the basic concepts of programming. When i first started learning programming I started with
Liberty Basic. I recommend the free trial of it at http://libertybasic.com Once you habe that go to the Libery Basic section of this site and Get Started!
GOOD LUCK :)
As a programmer, you always stood out from society. When all the other kids were drawing pictures of their hero, (Mom,
Dad) You were drawing Bill Gates. You knew you were different. You just didn't know why. When it came time for computer class
in 4th grade, You knew more than the teacher did. She even offered to havre YOU teach the class. But you politely turned down
the offer, knowing that if you explained everything you knew, the kids would have no idea what you were talking about. When
the other kids were asking the teacher, "Which window do I type www. in?", You were looking up IP Address Hacking. You got
straight A+'s in computer class, even though your power point took about 10 seconds to make and everyone elses took 4 class
periods. You have always been kind of a Wiz kid. Even not in computers. You always knew more about the world and how it worked.
Now, begin your journey to fulfill your destiny as a programmer.
